The Seedlings: A community for Toddlers
The toddler community serves children who are independently toileting, ages 2- 3, in a small and intimate group. The scheduling options are 4 days per week of either half day or full day. The school year runs from mid-August to May with an optional summer program that runs 4 days per week for 6-7 weeks.
Children are taught to listen to their bodies and are encouraged to eat and drink as needed. Rest time is provided for full-day children.
We are committed to providing our Toddlers with engaging, meaningful activities to:
– provide experiences that stimulate the senses
– enrich the child’s vocabulary and understanding of language
– provide time for the child to repeat and master activities
– give children the opportunity to gain a sense of self-esteem, self-worth, and self-confidence
A Typical Daily Schedule
The day will include a morning meeting, exploration of the classroom, individual lessons, open snack, time outdoors, and a family style group lunch.

8:30-9:15 Outdoor time
9:15-9:25 Transition to the classroom
9:25-11:00 Uninterrupted work period
11:00-11:10 Transition to outdoors
11:10-11:45 Outdoor gross motor activities and free playtime
11:45-12:15 Half-day pick-up
11:45-12:15 Lunch, clean up and prepare for nap
12:15-2:15 Nap
2:15-2:45 Transition to outdoors
3:15 Full-day pick-up
