Thank you for your interest in Wildwood Montessori School, La Monte MO. We look forward to introducing you to the Montessori philosophy, our community and curriculum, and getting to know you and your child. Our admissions procedure is outlined below.
A Montessori Education is more than just a school, but a philosophy in raising children. Prior to applying, please read about the Montessori method to ensure that it matches your parenting style. View our website to find out more about Wildwood and what makes our school unique. Check out our blog for parenting resources and how to implement Montessori learning at home.
New Student Enrollment Request Form may be submitted on our forms page. These forms necessitate basic contact information and do not entail an application fee.
Reserve/schedule a group tour, where parents will speak to a representative, tour the whole facility, and find out about the programs that we have to offer. This is a good time to tell us about your child and have any questions answered. *Group Tours dates/times may be found on our Schedule Tour page.
A member of the admissions team will send you a Family Application. Fill out the Family Application form and submit it to the school with a non-refundable $75 application fee.
If your child is currently enrolled in another school or early childhood program, please forward their records to our Admissions Office.
After your child’s application and fee have been received, the admissions team will contact you to arrange for a 1:1 family interview. *If time permits, your child will be invited to visit the classroom, meet the teaching team, and spend some time at WMS.
After careful consideration of the appropriate placement for each child, the school will notify you of acceptance in writing. WMS has a rolling admissions, however most children start school in September or January.
On two orientation days before school starts, students from the Primary and Elementary communities come to school for two hours each day. In a small group, they become familiar with teachers and the classroom and make friends with other new students. During this time, there is a mandatory parent orientation. Toddler orientation will be scheduled in August by the classroom teacher.
