Tisha Sparks founded LSP in January 2020 out of her home, with the goal in mind to provide an alternative educationally based option for preschool age children. She knew early on her goal was to create an educational program rooted in the Montessori philosophy that would serve children ages preschool through adolescents in our community. Tisha’s dreams came true with the expansion of the Wildwood Montessori School La Monte location. After the birth of her third daughter she discovered the Montessori Method of teaching. She went back to school and became a certified teacher for the preschool aged students, holding Montessori Teaching accreditation for 3-6 year olds. Tisha continues to attend classes and training to expand her knowledge and help to support the staff and families at WMS. She enjoys a good book, a cup of dark brew coffee, traveling, learning new trades, singing and spending time with family.

Shaina Kusgen
Associate Director of Operations
A lifelong resident of Pettis County, Shaina Kusgen graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and an emphasis in Medical Technology. She currently lives on a farm near Marshall Junction with her husband, three children and Irish Wolfhound, Winnie. In her spare time she enjoys, cooking, reading and visiting antique stores.
Justin Sparks
Maintenance, Operations, & Safety Specialist
Co-Founder, Mr. Justin, spends the bulk of his time as the owner and lead of a successful residential construction business in Sedalia. He has a proven track record as a project manager, overseeing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. He is a huge supporter of the vision and mission of Wildwood Montessori. Assisting both behind the scene and on campus to lend his knowledge and hand wherever needed to see the project through. He enjoys fishing on the lake, time outdoors, and building projects by hand. He is married to Ms. Tisha and together they have three daughters and three energetic dogs.

Misty Driskell

Misty has over 20 years of lead teaching experience in early childhood education. She is passionate about working with children to help them grow and succeed. Seeking a new opportunity to continue making a positive impact in the loves of students, she is thrilled to be a part of Wildwood Montessori. Misty is married to Josh, and together they have 2 children. They are the owners of locally owned Ironwood Motorsports and she enjoys helping run the family business.

Sarai Cervantes
Elementary Lead Guide
Sarai Cervantes was born and raised in Sedalia, Missouri, with family roots in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She enjoys frequent visits to Guadalajara and is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of Hispanic culture. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Education and is eager to continue her journey in the Montessori world. In her free time, Sarai enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with friends. She also loves traveling, especially when it involves experiencing live music.
